New in Sellhelm 4

Know what a seller is really doing - and where they get it.

Give Sellhelm an eBay username, or just one listing that is beating you, and it reads the whole shop, shows eBay's own sold and watcher figures, and - only when it is confident - finds the supplier behind it, with your real profit if you matched their price.

Check a seller

Their whole shop, with eBay's own numbers

Paste a username you know is dropshipping. Sellhelm reads every listing they have for sale: price, condition, and eBay's own lifetime "sold" figure, read from each listing's own page rather than the search page's guess - eBay only shows a sold count there for a high-volume listing.

Free
checking a whole seller never spends a search credit
Real
sold and watcher counts, not the search page's own guess
30
pages read per seller, at most - about 1,800 listings
Sortable
by sold, watchers, price or title, searchable by title

Reading a seller's shop is free, however many listings they have. Credits are only ever spent finding a supplier - see below.

The real screen, with demo data

  • One username, the whole shopNo browsing eBay by hand: Sellhelm reads every page of a seller's listings itself, through your own browser the same way it reads a shop that will not answer a server directly.
  • The real sold figureThe Sold column starts as a guess from the search page - eBay only shows one there for a high-volume listing - then a second pass reads each listing's own page for the true lifetime figure.
  • Watchers, tooHow many people are watching each listing, read at the same time as the sold figure.
  • Sold and watchers, totalledThe seller list itself shows a whole seller's sold and watchers summed across every listing found, so a shop worth a closer look stands out before you open it.
  • Search and sortSearch by title, or sort by sold, watchers, price or title, to find the listing worth chasing.
  • Runs in the backgroundLeave the page, come back - a check keeps going and picks up where it left off.

Find the supplier

Only shown when it is a confident match

Select a listing that is selling well, or paste a single eBay item link on its own. Sellhelm searches for where it genuinely comes from, and shows a result only when the title is a confident match on the real thing - a near miss is never shown as if it were.

Up to 4
confident matches shown per listing - the same product, more than one supplier
Up to 3
searches tried per listing before giving up, each spending a credit
0
near misses ever shown - only a confident title match counts
Live
profit if you matched their price, worked out with your own fee settings

Finding a supplier can cost up to 3 search credits for one listing - Sellhelm tries up to 3 different searches before giving up (the title, the title again restricted to Amazon, and a phrase from the listing's own description), and every search spends a credit whether or not it finds anything. It is possible to spend all 3 and still get no match.

A listing with two confident supplier matches found, each with its own photo, cost and profit if matched

The real screen, with demo data

  • More than one matchThe same product is often sold by more than one supplier - every confident match is shown, up to 4, each with its own photo so you can compare it against the listing at a glance.
  • Real profit, not a guessWhat you would keep selling at the same price the competitor does, worked out with your own fee settings - never a flat estimate.
  • Amazon, searched directlyA plain search routinely buries Amazon's own page under the listing's own re-posts and reviews, so Amazon is searched on its own as one of the 3 tries.
  • Price-sanity checkedA page priced many times higher than the competitor even sells for - an accessory mistaken for the machine it fits, say - is ruled out rather than shown as a match.
  • eBay is never the answereBay itself is never shown as a possible supplier.
  • Select several, add them allTick matches across more than one listing and add them all to Drafts in a single action - "Add to Drafts" always sits in the same place, at the end of the row.

What it costs

Real searches cost real money to run - so credits are honest about it

Finding a supplier makes a paid search on your behalf. Checking a whole seller's shop never does. Every pack comes with credits to start; buy more from your account whenever you run out, at a lower price the more you buy.

Used them all? Top up any time from your account, at a lower price the more you buy:

5,000 credits

$9.99 - about $2.00 per 1,000 credits.

10,000 credits

$17.99 - about $1.80 per 1,000 credits.

20,000 credits

$31.99 - about $1.60 per 1,000 credits.

One credit is spent per search, not per listing. Checking a whole seller's shop is always free. Finding a supplier for one listing can cost up to 3 credits - Sellhelm tries up to 3 different searches before giving up, and every search spends a credit whether or not it finds anything. It is possible to spend all 3 and still get no confident match.
